About Our 1:1 Laptop Program
The Westridge 1:1 Laptop Program aims to enhance student learning by establishing a personalized, student-centered learning environment where every student has access to a laptop and digital resources.
Grades 4 & 5: Students are issued a standardized, school-owned and -supported laptop to use at school only.
Grades 6, 7, & 8: Students are issued a standardized, school-owned and -supported laptop to use at school and at home.
Upper School (Grades 9-12): Students are required to bring their own laptop to school every day. Please view the 1:1 Laptop Program brochure below for more details about Upper School laptop requirements.
Additional information, including our 1:1 Laptop Program brochure, will be shared here this spring/summer.

Required Digital Onboarding & Technology Training
by Grade
4th Grade:
Important tech information for your soon-to-be 4th grade student:
Westridge will provide students with a laptop for the upcoming school year. Students will receive their assigned laptop during the first month of school.
Laptops will remain at school for use on campus.
Students will have access to laptops provided they use it in accordance with our Digital Core Values.
Technology training will take place throughout the school year in STEM class.
Family Laptop Agreements
The Lower School Laptop Use Agreement form must be reviewed with your student and completed by Friday, August 28. Click here to view the agreement form.
5th Grade:
Important tech information for your soon-to-be 5th grade student:
New 5th grade students must attend mandatory Tech Onboarding on Wednesday, August 26 through Friday, August 28 from 3:15-4:30 pm (after school).
Westridge will provide students with a laptop for the upcoming school year. Students will receive their assigned laptop during the first month of school.
Laptops will remain at school for use on campus.
Students must carry laptops in a laptop carry case from class to class. Westridge has cases available to borrow, but students should plan to bring their own 14-inch case.
Students will have access to laptops provided they use it in accordance with our Digital Core Values.
Family Laptop Agreements

6th Grade:
Important tech information for your soon-to-be 6th grade student:
New 6th grade students must attend mandatory Tech Onboarding & Strings Camp on Wednesday, August 19 through Friday, August 21 from 9:30 am-2:30 pm. Lunch will be provided. Students must attend all 3 days on campus.
Students must bring their own 14-inch laptop case.
Westridge will provide students with a laptop for the upcoming school year. Students will receive their assigned laptop during Tech Onboarding, as long as they have completed the Laptop Contract (see below).
Students will take laptops home throughout the school year provided they use them in accordance with our Digital Core Values.
Students must bring their assigned laptop fully charged along with the charger to school daily.
Family Laptop Contract
Laptop Contracts will be sent via email and must be completed and returned by Tuesday, August 18, in advance of 6th grade Tech Onboarding. Please watch the Laptop Program Orientation Video (which will be uploaded and shared on August 1) prior to signing the contract.
Middle School (Grades 7 & 8):
Important tech information for your soon-to-be Middle Schooler:
New 7th & 8th grade students must attend mandatory Tech Onboarding on Monday, August 24 from 12-3 pm. Lunch will be provided. Students will have a short break before joining their parents for Middle School Orientation, which runs until 6 pm.
Students must bring their own 14-inch laptop case.
Westridge will provide students with a laptop for the upcoming school year. Students will receive their assigned laptop during Tech Onboarding.
Students will take laptops home throughout the school year provided they use them in accordance with our Digital Core Values.
Students must bring their assigned laptop fully charged along with the charger to school daily.
Laptops must be returned to Westridge in good condition at the end of 8th grade.
Family Laptop Contract
Laptop Contracts will be sent via email and must be completed and returned by Tuesday, August 18, in advance of 6th grade Tech Onboarding. Please watch the Laptop Program Orientation Video (which will be uploaded and shared on August 1) prior to signing the contract.
Upper School (Grades 9-12):
Students must bring their own laptop to school in the fall. The laptop must meet program specifications detailed in the 1:1 Laptop Program Brochure, which will be shared here this spring. Please contact helpdesk@westridge.org with any questions.
New Upper School students must attend mandatory Tech Onboarding on Wednesday, April 15 from 3:30-4:30 pm in order to gain access to their Westridge email and other school systems to stay up-to-date with news and events throughout the summer.
Students do not need to have the laptop they expect to use for school at this event but should plan to bring it to Tech Orientation in August.
Canvas Tech Prep courses, which will guide students through accessing their courses and prepare them for the school year, must be completed by Monday, August 20. Students will receive instructions via email on August 10.
New Upper School students must attend mandatory Tech Orientation on Monday, August 24 from 10:30 am-12 pm and must bring the laptop they expect to use for school purposes. All required software should be installed prior to this event.
Students must have administrative permission to download and install apps on this day. If you have a Mac, students must have their Apple ID and password.
Students must view the 1:1 Laptop Program Information Video below prior to attending Upper School Tech Orientation.
Students will participate in Canvas training during Upper School Orientation on Tuesday, August 25. Students should bring the same laptop they plan to use for school purposes.
